How our Packages Work
We offer comprehensive assessment packages that are designed to answer any question you have about your thinking and memory. These comprehensive assessments are led by our senior clinical neuropsychologist, and the assessment tools are specifically selected to answer your questions.
However, we know that some people may not require a full assessment. We offer brief, standardised assessment for adult neurodiversity. These standardised assessments have preselected tests and do not assess the full range of thinking and memory skills.
Comprehensive Assessments
- Start with a consultation with a senior clinical neuropsychologist to understand how we can help you and plan your assessment.
- The assessment is usually conducted by the senior clinical neuropsychologist and a provisional psychologist.
- The assessment can be solely conducted by the senior clinical neuropsychologist when required.
- Full medical report and parent feedback session with senior clinical neuropsychologist included in rates.
- May be able to claim extras health insurance rebates (on some sessions).
Brief, Standardised Assessments
- Does not include a consultation with the senior clinical neuropsychologist (may be added for an extra fee).
- Assessment provided by provisional psychologist under guidance of senior clinical neuropsychologist.
- This is a standard assessment, which means that every person is given the same assessment tasks.
- Brief medical report co-signed by senior clinical neuropsychologist.
- Feeback and further assessment can be conducted at an hourly rate if desired
Commonly Asked Question - Do We Give a Diagnosis?
Neuropsychologists can diagnose neurodevelopmental and neurocognitive conditions and this diagnosis is accepted by the NDIS. Generally, our assessments will provide a diagnosis where possible, however in some cases there may be other possible causes of difficulties that require further consideration.
Our comprehensive assessments aim to support diagnostic decisions by identifying underlying deficits or challenges and by ruling out other possible causes of a person’s everyday difficulties.
Our brief standardised assessments are designed to identify symptoms or characteristics associated with ADHD and Autism.
Comprehensive Assessments
For comprehensive assessments, the senior clinical neuropsychologist will select assessments to answer any questions you have about your thinking and memory.
Common reasons for assessment include:
- Diagnosis of neurodevelopmental or neurocognitive disorders. We commonly see people to assist with diagnosis of dementia, brain injury, ADHD, Autism, intellectual disability and many more cognitive and neurological conditions. This assessment will provide information for a differential diagnosis – that is, considering two or more conditions that share similar signs or symptoms.
- Understanding of cognitive disability following neurological events or as a result of neurological/psychiatric conditions. We commonly assess recovery of thinking and memory in people who have had a stroke, brain injury, seizure disorders, multple sclerosis, functional neurological disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia or other neurological conditions. This assessment can help to provide guidance for rehabilitation and evidence for funded support (e.g. NDIS applications).
- Return to work assessments. We can provide assessments to inform whether you are able to return to work, and also recommendations for graduated return to work.
Additional assessment is required for the following situations, and they should be assessed under Comprehensive Assessment 2:
- Autism assessments
- Decision making capacity assessments
- Thorough assessment of psychological conditions as well as cognitive functioning.

Brief Neurodiversity Assessments
What will this assessment tell me?
This assessment is designed to identify characteristics of ADHD and Autism in adults. It is a good place to start if you are interested in learning about how your brain works.
Where possible, we can provide a diagnosis. However, this assessment may not provide enough information for a differential diagnosis – that is, considering two or more conditions that share similar signs or symptoms. These similar conditions include severe childhood emotional trauma, brain injury or concussion, or major mental health conditions like bipolar disorder. If no diagnosis can be made, we will provide a roadmap to how you can seek additional treatment or assessment.
Important notes:
- These assessments do not include a consultation with the senior clinical neuropsychologist. If you are unsure about whether the assessment is right for you, you can book a consultation for an additional fee of $280.
- Neuropsychologists cannot prescribe medications. If you would like to seek pharmaceutical treatment for ADHD, you will need to see a medical practitioner like a specialist GP or psychiatrist. You do not need to do this assessment prior to seeing a medical practitioner.
- These assessments will usually not provide enough information about a disability to fully support an NDIS application.
