Neuropsychological Assessment

A neuropsychologist is a psychologist with expertise in the relationship between the brain and behaviour. They work with people who have changes in their brain which leads them to have difficult with memory, attention, language, vision, problem solving and organisation. These difficulties can affect a person’s ability to perform their job or manage their day to day tasks.

A neuropsychology assessment uses a series of tasks to measure a person’s thinking and memory. Their performance can be compared to other people of the same age and background. The pattern of performance across these tasks can provide information about that person’s brain and how well they perform tasks in everyday life.

How our pricing works

Generally, our assessment services are charged differently according to whether you are paying for the assessment with your money (privately funded) or funded by another agency (third party funded). We like to offer a package price for our assessment to make sure you get the results you need without worrying about what the eventual price will be.  However, most third party agencies, including NDIS and WorkCover, need to be billed hourly.

Privately funded = Package rates

  • When paying for the assessment with your money
  • Includes when claiming for Medicare and extras health insurance rebates
  • Packages do not apply for medicolegal assessments – ask us for a quote
  • Hourly rates are also available if requested

Third party funded = Hourly rates

  • When another agency or service pays (even if you pay up front)
  • Includes: NDIS funded (self or plan managed); WorkCover; Insurance Agencies; DVA
  • Package rates may be available when funding agencies do not require hourly rates (e.g. agencies seeking specific funding for clients to cover the assessment).
