How our Packages Work
We offer comprehensive assessment packages that are designed to answer any question you have about your child’s development. These comprehensive assessments are led by our senior clinical neuropsychologist, and the assessment tools are specifically selected to answer your questions.
However, we know that parents may not have the time or resources to invest in a comprehensive assessment right now. That’s why we also offer standardised packages that will answer commonly asked questions about child development. These standardised assessments have preselected tests and do not assess the full range of thinking and memory skills.
All of our assessments include an initial consultation with our Senior Neuropsychologist as part of the price. If you don’t wish to continue with the assessment, all you have to do is pay for the consultation which is $280. You may be able to claim health insurance rebates for this session.
Comprehensive Assessments
- Start with a parent consultation with a senior clinical neuropsychologist to understand how we can help you and plan your assessment.
- The assessment is usually conducted by the senior clinical neuropsychologist and a provisional psychologist.
- The assessment can be solely conducted by the senior clinical neuropsychologist when required.
- Full medical report and parent feedback session with senior clinical neuropsychologist included in rates.
- May be able to claim Medicare and extras health insurance rebates (limited circumstances only).
Standardised Assessments
- Start with a parent consultation with a senior clinical neuropsychologist
- Assessment and feedback provided by provisional psychologist under guidance of senior clinical neuropsychologist.
- This is a standard assessment, which means that every child is given the same assessment tasks. Of course, content is adapted for your child’s age and ability level.
- Full medical report co-signed by senior clinical neuropsychologist.
- Further assessment can be conducted at an hourly rate if desired.
Commonly Asked Question - Do We Give a Diagnosis?
Neuropsychologists can diagnose neurodevelopmental conditions and this diagnosis is accepted by schools and the NDIS. Generally, our assessments will provide a diagnosis where possible, however in some cases there may be other possible causes of difficulties that require further consideration.
Our comprehensive assessments aim to support diagnostic decisions by identifying underlying deficits or challenges and by ruling out other possible causes of a person’s everyday difficulties.
Our standardised assessments are designed to identify symptoms or characteristics associated with common neurodevelopmental conditions.
Standardised Assessments
This assessment is designed to give a basic overview of your child’s fundamental skills that are related to school performance. This assessment is an ideal first step if you have concerns about your child school functioning.
In most cases, it will provide:
- Information for you and your child’s teacher about what sort of extra supports your child might need at school.
- Evidence needed for a diagnosis of ADHD, Intellectual Disability, a Learning Disorder, or identification of giftedness.
- If there are multiple possible underlying causes to your child’s difficulties, we will provide a roadmap for how to further investigate or treat these conditions.
If you suspect that your child has characteristics of autism please choose the option with an Autism assessment.

Comprehensive Assessments
For comprehensive assessments, the senior clinical neuropsychologist will select assessments to answer any questions you have about your child’s development.
In most cases, this will involve the same tests in the standard assessment, but also other tests that look more broadly and more specifically at your child’s abilities. This includes assessment of memory and executive functions when required.
This assessment will provide information for a differential diagnosis – that is, considering two or more conditions that share similar signs or symptoms.
This assessment is ideal if your child has a complex medical history, identified neurological disorders (e.g. stroke or brain injury), vision or hearing difficulties or expressive language difficulties.
This assessment will also provide detailed information about disability for NDIS applications.
